Why a sculpture?
In the digital age there are so many ways that we’re disconnected from the physical world. But having a one-of-a-kind art piece that you can hold in your hand makes a dream a reality.
Commissioning a sculpture isn’t just buying art,
it’s having someone thoughtfully and lovingly create a physical version of a thing you love —
as an internationally-award winning sculptor, artist, muralist, and illustrator, that’s my exact job!
My favorite and best work are sculptures that are portraits—but just because they’re portraits doesn’t mean they have to be boring! These are some of my favorite things about some of my favorite pieces:
Details
I sincerely enjoy hyperrealism in sculpture, this is one of my favorite pieces. Before the paint, before the lights, you can see what it is at its core: a celebration of life.
Representation
Even in pieces that are small I do my best to create works that feel like they’re true to my subject matter; I made each cornrow and puffball with a lot of love!
Imagination
Sculpture gets to be really fun, if you let it! This photograph shows the type of art that exists when imagination takes the wheel.
What do I need to get started?
All I need is your idea! If you have any inspiration or reference photos I’d love to see them. You don’t need to have a sketch or a drawing—leave that part to me!
Let’s make your dream sculpture a reality!
